The A-side, cut on 33rpm, is one to nod your head to. The common denominator are driving
beats that derive from dancehall and grime. In the vein of his track for the Voxxx Series A
sampler they are accompanied by moody sound-scapes, haunting voices and strange melodies.
Digital dancehall, dry and focused as in 'Tubby' or bedded in surreal clouds of reverb as in
'Death'.
The B-side, cut on 45 rpm, presents some seriously fast cut-up breakbeats, pumping basses and
sweet hooks. Granular beats tied together by some 2step bastard beat merge with a rave bass and
the lead synth in 'It's all so simple now'.
Exclusively on vinyl here is Geroyche's remix for Mochipet, that was originally available on cd
as part of Mochipet's 'Feel my China Vol. 1' (Component Records), in a slightly extended
version. It definitely sounds as if Geroyche was ear witness to some mental rituals taking place
at Bohemian Grove where Mochipet and his friends from Skull and Bones secretly celebrated
their world domination once again.
All this was mastered and cut by the fabulous Rashad at Dubplates & Mastering, Berlin.

'Death' kokettiert in seiner wabernden Unschärfe mit den größten Momenten der zerzerrten Glückseeligkeit.
Ein Überhit, mit dem zukünftig jedes Set auf dieser Welt wahlweise begonnen oder beendet werden sollte.
'Tubby' klaut sich das Dancehall-Gefühl, um aber alles mit Hochgeschwindigkeit breit zu sägen und nur die im Untergrund
raufende Fläche hält alles zusammen. Damit wir uns richtig verstehen ... das ist etwas Gutes.
'Great Expectations' ist eine zerhackstückte 4Bit-Symphonie, die in ihrer Melancholie alle jemals gelöschten Samples

'It's All So Simple Now' vermischt die frei oszillierenden Melodien englischer Backrooms von vor 15 Jahren mit hopsenden
Break-Überbleibseln, der Remix von 'Break6' schließlich ist die Live-Reportage des Exodus aller Atari-Chips aus ihren
Gehäusen.

'Death' coquettes in its billowing blur with the greatest moments of distorted beatitude.
An uber-hit with which any future set in this world should be either opened or closed.
'Tubby' grabs itself the dancehall feeling, but to saw everthing wide with high speed and solely the strings
tussling down below keep everything together. Get the idea ... that is something good.
'Great Expectations' is a chopped 4bit-symphony that mourns all the ever deleted
samples of this world in its melancholy.
'It's All So Simple Now' blends the freely oscillating melodies of English backrooms from 15 years ago with
bouncing break-remains. Finally, the remix of 'Break6' is live coverage of the exodus of all Atari-chips from
their casings.
